King George Fishing Derby 2019 winners

Contestants in the 5th Annual King George Fishing Derby reeled in some lunkers this past weekend. On Sept. 14 – 15, 185 anglers, launching 90 boats, competed for more than $15,000 in prizes. The derby is a fundraiser for The Fund for Lake George, which works to protect the health of Lake George and stop the introduction and spread of invasive species in the lake.

Largemouth Bass
1st – Bradley Holmes, 5.08 lbs.
2nd – Brian Squires, 5.01
3rd – Sheila Faella, 4.98

Smallmouth Bass
1st – Bernie Lindo, 4.41 lbs
2nd – Thomas Leo, 4.13 lbs.
3rd – Luke Musto, 3.29 lbs.

Lake Trout
1st – Brian Henry, 13.47 lbs.
2nd – Marshall Gottung, 11.02 lbs.
3rd – Dion Hazen, 9.22 lbs.

Landlocked Salmon
1st – Christian Rose, 6.01 lbs.
2nd – Joel Clark, 2.74 lbs.

Junior Division

Next year’s King George Fishing Derby is scheduled for Sept. 19 – 20, 2020.
