Adirondack Brewery bringing 2 Oktoberfests to Lake George this fall

The fall foliage is nearing peak colors in Lake George just in time for the Adirondack Brewery’s annual Oktoberfests. The 13th Annual Village of Lake George Oktoberfest will be held Oct. 11-13, Columbus Day Weekend, on Canada Street. This is a free, family-friendly event.

The 18th Annual Oktoberfest Charity Block Party will be held outside the Adirondack Pub & Brewery, 33 Canada Street, on Saturday, Oct. 19. This is a ticketed event for adults of legal drinking age. A portion of proceeds from the 2024 Oktoberfest Charity Block Party will benefit the Ben Osborn Memorial Fund.

“Our Oktoberfest events are inspired by the traditions of Bavaria, but we really like to add a local emphasis to the event,” says brewery owner John Carr. “These Oktoberfests benefit a non-profit every year that assists the community.”

The Village Oktoberfest is held on Canada Street in front of Shepard Park. Traffic will be diverted from the road between Montcalm and Amherst Streets. A large tent is set up in front of the park to accommodate a bier garden and stage with a dance floor where polka bands will perform. More than 40 artisan vendors will be set up outside the tent and attendees can participate in games and contests held in the park. There will be carnival rides, yard games and bounce houses in the street.

The Village of Lake George Oktoberfest hours are Friday, Oct. 11, 5-10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12, noon-10 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 13, noon-5 p.m.
