Revving engines and chrome return to Lake George Thursday, Sept. 5 for Albany Rods & Kustoms 31st Adirondack Nationals Car Show. The car show brings more than 1,500 pre-1980 vehicles, all in running condition, to the grounds of Fort William Henry Hotel along with vendors. Additional vendors will be set up on the Festival Commons adjacent to the Fort William Henry grounds.
This year’s VIP guest is All Girls Garage Bogi Lateiner. General admission tickets for spectators are $15 and are good for the entire weekend. Children age 12 and younger are free.

A highlight of the Adirondack Nationals show is the Night Cruises, which will be held 7 – 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. State Route 9 (Canada Street) between Birch Avenue to the South and Mountain Drive to the North will be closed to regular traffic at these times. Cars registered with the car show will cruise a continuous loop along this section of Canada Street. Spectators traditionally line the road to cheer on the parade of vintage vehicles. Saturday’s Night Cruise will be followed by a fireworks display over the lake.
The Village of Lake George is urging spectators to arrive early and use public transportation whenever possible as traffic is heavy and parking tight throughout the car show weekend. During the Night Cruises, access to the Village backstreets (west of Ottawa Street) will be restricted to local traffic, and several streets will be “no parking” to allow room for emergency vehicles.
