Adirondack Winery Drink Pink to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

“Breast cancer has touched so many lives in our community, including so many of our customers, employees, friends and their family members,” says Adirondack Winery President Sasha Pardy in a press release announcing the Winery’s 6th Annual Drink Pink fundraiser. The winery has pledged to raise at least $6,500 this year to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Adirondack Chapter walk. “By raising money for this important cause,” says Pardy, “we hope to help everyone impacted by breast cancer in our region and show those who have been diagnosed with this terrible disease that they are not alone.”

Last year, the Winery raised $6,000 for the charity that funds breast cancer research, outreach and support. As the top ranking company team of the Adirondack Chapter walk, the Adirondack Winery has been named the Lead Corporate Sponsor.

Throughout October, the winery is holding special Drink Pink themed events. A portion of sales will be dedicated to reaching the $6,500 goal. The Winery, which is well known for its berry-infused wines, has produced two special label wines, Drink Pink Berry Blush and Drink Pink Berry Breeze. These may be purchased in the winery tasting rooms in Lake George and Bolton. For each bottle sold, the winery will donate $4 to Making Strides against Breast Cancer.

The Winery is raffling gift baskets filled with wine, wine accessories as well as merchandise and gift cards from local merchants including Lake George cruises, overnight stays at local hotels and restaurant gift cards. Baskets are valued between $595 and $650. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased online or at one of the tasting rooms.

Friday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, October 14 is Drink Pink Weekend at the tasting rooms. The weekend includes games, special wine tasting packages, Pink Wine slushies and Drink Pink wine cocktails. The Winery has also scheduled Drink Pink Uncork & Craft events and will donate a portion of ticket sales. Uncork & Craft combines wine tasting with a craft project. Tickets may be purchased online at the Adirondack Winery website.
