Apple Festival to feature local apples, hard and sweet cider and cider doughnuts

The Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market’s 11th Annual Apple Festival is coming to the Warrensburg Rec Field Pavilion on Friday, Sept. 13, from 3 – 6 p.m. with fresh-picked local apples, free samples of apple-based baked goods and products, cider and doughnuts. The festival will feature a variety of organically grown apples from Saratoga Apple, craft beverages from local producers, baked goods, maple and honey products, fresh produce, eggs, organic poultry, artisan cheeses and arts and crafts.

Richards Library Director Shelby Burkhardt will lead hands-on and take-and-make apple-themed crafts for children. Other children’s activities will include pumpkin decorating with pumpkins donated by Bull Hill Farm, and apple Playdough gifts by the Warrensburg PTSA.

Singer-songwriter Peter Burrall is providing live music. Shoppers will have the opportunity to enjoy a free cup of freshly brewed coffee and may enter to win $20 in Farmers’ Market Bucks, which may be spent with any of the vendors.
