The Dog Cabin is bringing this new event to the field behind Biscotti Brothers, 1 Canada Street. Bring your dog and family for this combination doggie fun day and craft beverage fair. The event features food, beverage and merchandise vendors. There will be activities for dogs and children. The famous Oscar Mayer Weinermobile will be there along with Green Mountain Dock Dogs for some wet canine fun.
Lake George Elvis Festival

Elvis Tribute Artists perform and compete for a spot in Graceland’s Ultimate Elvis Tribute Contest. The festival kicks off with Opening Ceremonies and a free show with festival headliners in Shepard Park Wednesday, May 29 starting at 7 p.m. Major shows are held at the Lake George Forum on Canada Street. The Americade motorcycle touring rally, which draws thousands to Lake George each June, is
hosting a block party with non-stop live music, motorcycle stunt shows and craft beer vendors. Block party proceeds to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region. NFL stars will be on hand Saturday, June 8 at 4 p.m. for autographs and photos.

The Adirondack Wine & Food Festival brings more than 100 vendors to the Festival Commons at the head of Lake George. A tasting ticket includes a commemorative wine glass that you may use to sample the products of local wineries, cideries, distilleries and breweries. Taste food products from more artisan food producers, buy lunch from one of several food trucks and shop at specialty vendor booths. Food preparation demonstrations are provided by the SUNY Adirondack Culinary School. This is a kid-friendly event with a special tent of games and craft projects. Discounted advanced tickets may be purchased online at the Festival’s website.

Community bands from across the Northeast and Canada perform in Shepard Park during this festival hosted by the Lake George Community Band. Friday evening features jazz bands. Concert bands perform all day Saturday. This is the 15th year for this festival, which is the largest of its kind in the Northeast. Admission is free.

Classical Musicians from around the world gather in Lake George to perform in small ensembles and with a full orchestra. The public is invited to attend rehearsals and performances at venues throughout the Lake George area. Highlights of the festival include a free children’s concert in Shepard Park and the Sounds of Our Time concert, which explores the connections between different musical genres. Lake George residents and visitors gather in the park to welcome in the holiday season with a sing-along on the amphitheatre stage. At 6 p.m., the switch is thrown to light thousands of colored LED bulbs strung throughout the park and Village followed by fireworks. A parade of decorated and lit fire trucks travels up Canada Street to bring Santa and Mrs. Claus to the Lake George Firehouse on Ottawa Street. The celebration continues at the firehouse with a holiday concert by the Lake George Community Band, refreshments and visits with Santa for the kids.

This is the second year for the event, which is held under large, enclosed and heated tents on the Festival Commons. Admission is free.
