Lake George Expedition Park, the rejuvenation of Magic Forest theme park in Lake George, is celebrating the Grand Opening of its Dino Roar Valley this spring. Park operators, working with WMHT Public Broadcasting, are holding a contest to select a Junior Ambassador for the new attraction. The winner will be featured in a video that welcomes guests to the prehistoric adventure. The professionally produced video will be shown to all guests at the Dino Roar Valley Basecamp throughout the inaugural season.
To enter, submit a video — maximum length of 60 seconds — of your child (all ages are invited to enter) sharing what they know and love about dinosaurs. Videos must be submitted at lakegeorgeexpeditionpark.com/jr-paleontologist-contest/ between March 27 and April 17, 2019. Three finalists will be selected by April 19. The winner will be announced on April 29. The Grand Finalist must be available for filming at WMHT studios the week of May 6. Although Junior Ambassador is an unpaid position, all three finalists will receive a 2019 season pass to Dino Roar Valley.
Dino Roar Valley invites guests to join expeditions along a half-mile path through prehistoric forests. Along the way, expeditions will encounter full-scale animatronic dinosaurs, including a Dilophosaurus and the largest dinosaur ever discovered, a Titanosaurus. Adventurers will visit a fossil dig site, and explore a dinosaur nest.
