The Lake George outdoor music fest season isn’t over yet. The Festival Commons at Charles R. Wood Park is going to “Wrap it Up” with rock, blues, Americana and Funk this Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 1. Organizers of the Adirondack Independence Music Festival have booked a stellar lineup of national, regional and local acts for the Festival’s second year.
Advanced tickets are $15 per day/$20 for the weekend. At the gate, $25 per day/$40 for the weekend. Tickets are available online through Eventbrite or in town at Duffy’s Tavern, King Neptune’s Pub and the Lake George Village Hall. Admission for children 12 and younger is free with an adult. There will be food and craft beverage (beer and wine) vendors on site and a Kids Zone for the children. Unlimited Kid Zone passes are available at the Eventbrite site.
A portion of the Festival’s proceeds will go to help the Nelson family who lost their Lake George home to fire earlier this month. If you go, bring a blanket or chair for seating. Unless you’re “Tuff Enuff” to withstand bare arms in the autumn chill, a jacket is highly recommended. The temperature drops down into the 50s this time of year once the sun dips behind Prospect Mountain.
