Roaming zombies, evil clowns, demented circus freaks and fairy tale characters gone bad — the Great Escape Fright Fest is cranking up the scare factor by adding two new mazes and a Scarezone to the Fright Fest slate of macabre attractions. The new zombie-infested Undead Alley, the Carnevil circus and Sinister Storytown will be part of the “Fright By Night” promise hidden in the Great Escape fog beginning Sept. 29 and continuing each weekend through Oct. 28.
As is the case each year, nighttime frights are intense, so, for younger children, daytime is the best time to visit the Great Escape during Fright Fest. (The maniac with the chainsaw doesn’t come out until after dark.) Kids are encouraged to wear costumes, enjoy the rides and the kid-friendly shows. There will be trick-or-treating along the trick-or-treat trail.
