The Warrensburgh Riverfront Market is holding its 2023 A Gathering of Adirondack Artisans on Friday, Aug. 11, 3-6 p.m. at the Historic Mills District Park, 180 River Street, Warrensburg (across from Curtis Lumber.) The event will feature “Made in the Adirondacks” handcrafted works, locally grown produce, artisan foods, live music, demonstrations and children’s activities.
Shoppers will have the opportunity to sample products and purchase artisan cheeses, maple products, and honey; naturally raised chicken and turkey, local chicken and duck eggs; marinades, pickles, breads; gourmet cookies and brownies, pastries, cakes, fudge and more; gourmet popcorn, distilled beverages, fresh cut flowers and perennials, handcrafted silver and gemstone jewelry and aged wood furniture; hand carved walking sticks, pipes and accessories; painting, prints, personalized drawings and bookmarks, photography, wood spirit and little people birdhouses, rustic picture frames and furniture, handmade soaps and candles, fabric and needle felted crafts, children’s books and learning puzzles.
Richards Library Director Shelby Burkhardt will be leading hands-on crafts and offering take-and-make craft kits. Megan Pierce will provide face painting. Both activities are free. Linda O’Neal will be leading a Create Your Own Necklace workshop. The market also will include book signings by local authors.
Artists will demonstrate their crafts, including painting, fiber spinning, quilting, felting and jewelry making. Singer-songwriter Peter Burrall will perform in the gazebo. Patrons will have the opportunity to win $20 in Market Bucks, which can be spent with market vendors.
2023 is the Warrensburgh Riverfront Market’s 25th season, and to celebrate the milestone anniversary, the market invites the public to join them for cake created by Marlene DeLongis. Free, fresh-brewed coffee will be available in the gazebo.
