After 41 years of sponsoring the juried Southern Vermont Art and Craft Festival in the Green Mountain State, festival promoter Craftproducers is moving its premier event to the Festival Commons in Wood Park, Lake George, N.Y. More than 100 vendors — artists, artisans, specialty food makers, New York wine producers and distillers — will be participating at the event’s new location. The festival will run from July 30 through Aug. 1, 2021.
Organizer Tim Cianciolo touts the quality of the exhibitions and high standards of craftsmanship at their festival, saying in a press release, “No trinkets or tchotchkes, just honest handcrafted excellence. No imports either. You will meet the actual artist at our shows.” Products offered include clothing, purses, glass art, hand-crafted jewelry, leather goods, home décor, artwork, and wood furniture. A complete list of exhibitors is available at Craftproducers.com.
The Lake George Art and Craft Festival will feature a wide variety of foods such as wood-fired pizza, grilled chicken wraps, empanadas, burgers and fried pickles. Adirondack Brewery will be offering a selection of craft beers. Live music performed by local favorite Rich Ortiz, The Donna Tritico Band, and Red Dirt Highway will be played throughout the day. Children may enjoy pony rides and face painting.
Festival hours are Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Adult admission is $7 and is valid the entire weekend. Children aged 14 and younger are admitted free of charge. Parking is available on surrounding streets and in public and private lots. This is a rain or shine event. Pets are not allowed. Charles R. Wood Park is a smoke-free venue.
