Last summer, the skies were not quite as bright on Thursday nights as the pandemic and concerns about large gatherings shut down the popular fireworks shows, but weekly fireworks displays are returning to the Village of Lake George for summer 2021. The Village is celebrating Independence Day with the first fireworks show being held on Sunday, July 4. The fireworks schedule continues with shows each Thursday, beginning July 8 and ending September 2. A special show is planned for Saturday, September 18. The shows begin at 9:30 p.m. The Fireworks are launched from a platform in the Southern Basin and may be viewed from the shoreline along the Southern end of Lake George, along the Lakefront Walkway and from boats on the lake.
