Halloween isn’t just for kids. Adults have half a dozen parties to choose from in Lake George over the final weekend of October. Venues range from upscale restaurants to casual barbeque joints. You can kick up your costumed heels at a western saloon or follow Alice down the rabbit hole at a lakeside pub. Here’s a round-up of Lake George Halloween parties, 2017 edition:
Friday, Oct. 27

$25 includes Halloween dinner buffet, discounted drink specials and live music with Bobby Dick. Grand prize for the costume contest is a week’s vacation at a resort of winner’s choice with over 3,500 resorts from which to choose.

The party begins at 9 p.m.
Live music with the Radio Junkies. Beer and drink specials, costume prizes and giveaways. Enter the Shipyard Brewery raffle for a chance to win a night’s stay in Portland, Maine with a brewery tour.
Saturday, Oct. 28
King Neptune’s Pub

This year, the theme at Neptune’s is Alice in Wonderland. The folks at Neptune’s have been busy all week turning the lakeside pub into Lewis Carroll’s unsettling world of dissolving cats and anxious rabbits. Square Pegs is on the stage. Admission is free for those arriving in costume.
Costume contest prizes:

- $100 for Funniest

Halloween at the Backstreet BBQ features food and classic rock with the Danny Merchant Trio. Best costume takes home a prize valued at $500.
