Three hot air balloons will inflate in Lake George’s Battlefield Park Saturday, Sept. 22, for the Lake George Moonglow. Balloon illumination will begin at dusk, approximately 7 p.m., and continue until 8:30 p.m. Balloon operators will be offering tethered balloon rides in the park. A fireworks display over Lake George will follow the Moonglow.
The Lake George Moonglow tradition began as a way to honor Adirondack Balloon Festival founder Walt Grishkot. The Balloon Festival, now in its 46th year, runs from Sept. 20 – 23 with morning and evening balloon launches from the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport in Queensbury and other Balloon activities in the Glens Falls area.
