The Lake George Music Festival opens Wednesday, August 10 with a 7:30 p.m. concert in Shepard Park featuring Time For Three and the Festival Orchestra conducted by Roger Kalia. Time For Three is a classically trained, Emmy Award-winning trio — two violins and double bass — that explore a broad range of genres from classical to bluegrass to rock, jazz and hip-hop. The opening concert is presented by the Festival in partnership with the Lake George Arts Project. Admission to Wednesday night’s concert is free.
The Lake George Music Festival continues through August 18 with nightly chamber music performances, a unique piano recital, and the concluding Final Symphony Orchestra Concert.

The Lake George Music Festival was first held in 2011 as a three-day event and has since become an internationally acclaimed classical music artist retreat. Festival musicians are drawn from many of the world’s top symphonies and leading music schools such as Julliard, Yale, Curtis Institute, Crane, and Conservatoire de Musique de Montreal.
The Music Festival originally held concerts and rehearsals in venues throughout the Lake George area but last summer found a home in the historic Fort William Henry Carriage House, which is on the hotel property at 48 Canada Street, Lake George.
All performances, except for the opening concert in Shepard Park, will be held in the Carriage House. Parking is available at the Fort William Henry Conference Center (across the parking lot from the Carriage House) for $10. A free shuttle is available to assist guests with the two-minute walk.
