Lake George Triathlon returns to Million Dollar Beach Labor Day Weekend

The 18th Annual Lake George Triathlon will be held on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 with races beginning at Lake George (Million Dollar) Beach and continuing along the Warren County Bikeway and streets in the Lake George Region. The triathlon series is brought to Lake George by Alpha Win and features three events of varying lengths in keeping with the Alpha Win motto, “A Distance For Everyone.”

The Long Course Race begins at 7 a.m. with a 1.2-mile swim, followed by a 56-mile bike ride and 13.1-mile run. Races continue Sunday with the Alpha Sprint beginning at 6:30 a.m. with a 750-meter swim, 12.4-mile bike ride and 3.1-mile run. The Alpha Olympic starts at 7:10 a.m. with a 1,500-meter swim, 24.8-mile bike ride and a 6.2-mile run. Athletes may view route maps and register online at the Alpha Win website. Registration closes August 31.

“What sets this triathlon apart,” says Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB Executive Director Gina Mintzer, “is the opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in the finest natural elements of our area. They can relish swimming in the pristine waters of Lake George, cycling along scenic routes through upstate New York, and completing the run through the Village of Lake George.”

 After Saturday’s races, participants and supporters are invited to enjoy an exclusive dinner aboard the Mohican, at 6:15 p.m. Tickets for the dinner cruise may purchased during race registration or here.

Friday, August 30 – 2112 US-9, Lake George, NY
