Law Enforcement Officers Weekend to kick off with parade and Congresswoman Stefanik

LEO Weekend opens this Friday, June 14. A parade of vintage police cars will start on Beach Road at 4:30 p.m. followed by Opening Ceremonies in Shepard Park at 5 p.m. U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik will speak at the ceremony, which will include a memorial service to honor fallen officers. This is the third year for the event that attracts law enforcement officers from across the country to Lake George for seminars, camaraderie and relaxation.

The opening event will be held in conjunction with the Friday at the Lake Concert Series, which presents live music in Shepard Park throughout the summer. This week, the concert opens with Led Zeppelin tribute band Better Off Led, and Kristen Capolino headlines. A beer and wine tent, food trucks and bounce houses for the kids will be on site. Admission is free.

LEO Weekend continues Saturday and Sunday with several events open to the public. Money raised at these events helps LEO Weekend bring the families of fallen officers to Lake George for LEO Weekend.
