Marshall Tucker Band is coming to Lake George

The Marshall Tucker Band is coming to the Lake George Festival Commons on Sunday, Sept. 24. The Band’s Lake George stop is part of the Marshall Tucker Band’s 45th Anniversary Tour. A legendary Southern rock band of the ‘70s, their hits “Can’t You See” and “Heard it in a Love Song” have become standards in the genre. Joining The Marshall Tucker Band in Lake George are country rockers Skeeter Creek and Country Fresh, a modern country band that performs original tunes and pop country covers.

Online ticket sales for the show are open at Eventbrite. Paper ticket sales open Aug. 28 and will be available at The Village of Lake George Town Hall, The Lake George Town Hall (both town halls are at 20 Old Post Road, Lake George, N.Y.) and King Neptune’s Pub, 1 Kurosaka Lane, Lake George.  Advance General Admission tickets are $20, $30 at the gate. A VIP package is available, which includes private viewing area and a VIP seating area, access to the VIP tent with tables and chairs, a private bar with half-priced alcoholic beverages and complimentary snacks, soft drinks and water. The VIP package is $75 in advance, $85 at the gate.

The Lake George Festival Commons in Charles R. Wood Park is a two-acre, outdoor venue on the Southern end of Lake George. The Sept. 24 date is an anniversary for the Festival Commons. The venue’s inaugural event, the American Music Festival, opened the same weekend in 2014. Subsequent end-of-September festivals have all seen mild weather with Adirondack fall foliage at its peak.

 

General Admission ticket holders should bring blankets and/or chairs for seating. The event is rain or shine. Coolers and pets are not allowed. The Festival Commons is a tobacco-free facility. Concert attendees wearing a wristband may leave the grounds and return. Parking is available on nearby streets and in public parking lots. Gates for the show open at 3 p.m.

The show is presented by Improv records and sponsored by the Village and Town of Lake George and the Warren County Department of Tourism. There are several hotels and motels within walking distance of the Festival Commons. Improv Records is also co-producing a major music festival Labor Day Weekend at the Lake George Festival Commons. The Adirondack Independence Music Festival is Sept. 2 and 3. It features 16 bands, two stages, a free kick off party and a late night rage stage.
