Where to celebrate New Year’s Eve 2020 in Lake George

New Year’s Eve 2020 will be a quieter than usual affair in Lake George with many of the usual festivities canceled out of concern for public health. The Lake George Steamboat Company has docked their ships for the winter with no New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day cruises down Lake George. Shoreline Cruises has canceled its traditional New Year’s Day Frostbite Cruise.

The traditional first day of the year Polar Plunge, which usually draws thousands to Shepard Park each winter, has been canceled as well. New Year’s Eve parties and buffets have been toned down, but several Lake George restaurants are offering specials to help ring in the New Year and Lanes & Games has a family-friendly event planned. If you are itching to get out for a little bit, here are a few options. Reservations are required and public health protocols must be observed to ensure everyone stays healthy for 2021.
