Alpha Win returned to Lake George this Labor Day Weekend to hold the 18th Annual Lake George Triathlon. Approximately 850 athletes competed this year in the series of three races. All races began and ended at Battlefield Park on Beach Road in Lake George. Spectators lined the race routes carrying signs, clanging cowbells and shouting words of encouragement.

Saturday morning, the Long Course race began at Lake George Beach with a 1.2-mile swim followed by a 56-mile bike ride that traveled north through Warrensburg to circle Brant Lake before returning to Battlefield Park. The final leg of the Long Course set runners on a 13.1-mile loop along the Warren County Bike Path.

Sunday morning, athletes in the Alpha Sprint race dove into the lake at dawn to complete a 750-meter swim. After peeling off their wetsuits, the competitors mounted their bikes for a 12.4-mile ride along the East Shore of Lake George to Cleverdale and back. The Alpha Sprint run route had runners complete a 3.1-mile course along Beach Road, up McGillis Avenue and along the back streets of Lake George Village, looping back to Battlefield Park with a run down the center of Canada Street. Warren County Sheriff deputies manned the intersections and volunteers along the route guided the runners.

The final race, the Alpha Olympic, began from Lake George Beach at 7:10 a.m. with a 1,500-meter swim followed by a 24.8-mile bike ride. The Olympic bike route traveled along the Warren County Bike Path past Glen Lake and looped through Queensbury to the East Shore of Lake George at Cleverdale, then returned to Battlefield Park. The final leg of the Olympic was a 6.2-mile run through Lake George Village, two loops of the path taken by Sprint runners.

Results of the 18th Annual Lake George Triathlon may be found at the Race Results tab on the Alpha Win website. Registration is now open for the 2025 Lake George Triathlon, which will be held August 30-31.
