Sunday afternoon, fire engines escorted dozens of witches, ghosts, princesses, superheroes, and an eclectic assortment of other characters up Main Street, Warrensburg for the Warrensburg Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Halloween parade. Parents, many of whom are veterans of the decades-old tradition, joined their costumed children on the route that began at the Warrensburg Health Center and ended at the firehouse on Elm Street.
The children gathered by grade level, and once in the firehouse, paraded before a panel of judges who awarded prizes and trophies. New York State Senator Dan Stec and Assemblyman Matt Simpson joined in the festivities.
