Pumpkin Chunkin’ to bring Medieval mayhem to Lake George

Medieval battles, dancing witches, a story-telling sprite, and flying squash are all part of the Adirondack Pub & Brewery’s Pumpkin Chunkin’ festival. The post-Halloween event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 1-5 p.m. in the Event Field behind High Peaks Distilling, 1 Canada Street, Lake George.

The festival includes live music by Saratoga-based group Wandering Monsters, bonfires, a food and beer truck, a giant slide, carnival rides and bounce houses, apple slingshots and pumpkin catapults. Guests are invited to bring their Halloween jack-o’-lanterns to include in the festival finale — The Great Pumpkin Drop. The Shire of Glenn Linn will be returning to demonstrate Medieval battle techniques and Thimbleberry the Woodsprite will invite festival attendees into her corner of the woods for interactive storytelling. The renowned Gem Radio Theatre Dancing Witches and fire dancer Opal Raven Cirque will perform. New for Pumpkin Chunkin’ 2024 will be a Potion Bar with hand-crafted “potions” for kids and adults.
