‘Shake the Lake’ returns with Battle of the Bands, bike rally, silent auction

The third annual Shake the Lake for Vets Sake kicks off Friday, June 16 at King Neptune’s Pub in Lake George. The event, a fundraiser for Adirondack Vets House in Glens Falls, features continuous live music, including a Battle of the Bands with local talent competing for a $1,000 purse and bragging rights.

The lake-shaking music begins Friday at 8 p.m. with Maryland-based power pop quartet Classified Frequency. Headliner Cowboy Mouth takes the stage at 9 p.m. For more than two decades, Cowboy Mouth has been playing their NOLA-style of rock and punk for national audiences. General admission tickets for Friday’s show are still available and may be purchased online at King Neptune’s website.

Saturday’s events begin shortly before 2 p.m. with the Battle of the Bands. This year’s Battle draws from several different musical genres, including classic rock, pop-punk and grunge.
