Photos: Katie Louise and Skeeter Creek kick off Rockin’ with Ronald

The Rockin’ with Ronald music festival opened in Shepard Park at the Fridays at the Lake Bands and Brews concert this Friday, Aug. 2. The show opened with the Katie Louise Band.  Contemporary country band Skeeter Creek followed. The three-day music festival is a fundraiser for Krantz Cottage, a Lake George family retreat house of Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The festival continues through the weekend. Admission is free. The festival features merchandise vendors, food trucks, a beer and wine tent, bounce houses and face painting.

Saturday, Aug. 3 – Festival opens at 10 a.m.

  • 12 p.m. The Switch – Blues, funk, rock n’ roll
  • 2:30 p.m. Blue Moon Band – Classic Rock
  • Willie Playmore – “Live music you can dance to”
  • 6 p.m. Groovin…A Woodstock Era Experience – a 50th-anniversary tribute to Woodstock artists

Sunday, Aug. 4 – Festival opens at 10 a.m.

  • 12:30 p.m. Stony Creek Band – Country, bluegrass
  • 2:30 p.m. The Accents – Pop, dance music
  • 5 p.m. The Refrigerators – Party band with brass
