Village of Lake George Oktoberfest schedule announced

Columbus Day Weekend 2024 kicks off with the Village of Lake George Oktoberfest. The Bavarian festival begins Friday, Oct. 11 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 13 with non-stop music, games, carnival rides, bounce houses, Bavarian and carnival food, craft beers and wine and craft vendors. The festival is held on Canada Street under a large tent in front of Shepard Park with games and vendors in the park. Admission is free. Food and drinks served in the beer garden are cash only. The event is produced by the Adirondack Pub and Brewery.

Friday, Oct. 11, 5-10 p.m.

• Free Play Games Setup All Day: Cornhole, Giant Connect4, Giant Jenga
  Plus – Free Pumpkin Painting for the Kids.
• 5 p.m. — The festivities begin! Get your FREE Oktoberfest hat while they last!
• 6-10 p.m. — BAND: Fritz’s Polka Bands at the Bier Tent Stage

Saturday, Oct. 12, noon – 10 p.m.

• Free Play Games Setup All Day: Cornhole, Giant Connect4, Giant Jenga
  Plus – Free Pumpkin Painting for the Kids.
• 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. — BAND: Alpenglühen (Alpenglow in English ) – Chris Alsdorf at the Bier Tent Stage
• Noon — Sign-Up Open for Bavarian Games; Sheets on PosterBoard attached to Easel
• 1 p.m. — GAME: Stein Hoisting, MASSKRUGSTEMMEN, (Mens & Womens, 1,2,3)
• 2:30 p.m. — GAME: Keg Toss (Mens & Womens, 1,2,3)
• 3-6 p.m. — BAND: Herbs Accord A Tones at Bier Tent Stage
• 5:30 – 6 p.m. — ROLL OUT THE BARREL – ‘O’zapft is!
• 6-10 p.m. — BAND: Tonys Polka Band at Bier Tent Stage

Sunday, Oct. 13, noon – 5 p.m.

• Free Play Games Setup All Day: Cornhole, Giant Connect4, Giant Jenga
  Plus – Free Pumpkin Painting for the Kids.
• Noon – 5 p.m. — BAND: Inseldudler at Bier Tent Stage; “Edelweiss Schuhplatters” of the Utica Maennerchor demonstrate authentic Bavarian dance and provide free lessons

Canada Street will be closed to traffic between Montcalm and Amherst Streets. Free parking is available at High Peaks Distillery, 1 Canada Street (about a half mile south of Shepard Park.) Metered parking is available on surrounding streets.
