The Warrensburg Riverfront Farmers’ Market will hold its first Annual Strawberry Festival this Friday, June 23, 3 – 6 p.m., at the Historic Mills District Park on River Street (across from Curtis Lumber.) The event will feature locally grown, freshly picked strawberries, strawberry-infused beverage tastings and free sampler plates of baked goods incorporating strawberries.
For those seeking to grow their own, the market will have strawberry plants for sale, and Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will be on hand to give growing advice.
The Strawberry Festival vendor list includes local farms, bakers and artisans offering freshly picked berries, preserves and fudge, Microgreens, duck and chicken eggs, strawberry pies, cakes, cookies and artisan cheeses with a strawberry influence from Nettle Meadow Farm.
