Garlic Festival returns to Warrensburgh Farmers’ Market

The Warrrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market is holding its 14th Annual Garlic Festival Friday, October 6, 3 – 6 p.m. at the Historic Mills District Park, 180 River Street in Warrensburg (across from Curtis Lumber). Shoppers will find a variety of certified organic and certified naturally grown garlic for planting and consumption, and they will be offered free sampler plates of entries in the Garlicky Food Contest.

Artisan foods featuring garlic will be available for purchase including Caramelized Onion and Roasted Garlic Jam, Garlic Fudge and Black Garlic – a concentrated form of garlic that boosts the immune system – by Adirondack Harvest,Oven Dried Tomato & Roasted Garlic Pinwheels by Baked By Marlene, Chuck’s Garlic Dill Pickles by Hilton Family Farm Stand, Joe’s Authentic Italian Tomato Sauce and Salsaby Dawn Delights, Garlic & Olive Oil Chevreby Nettle Meadow Cheese Farm, and Garlic Infused Chicken & Turkey Sausage by Whitefield Farm.

Richard’s Library Director Shelby Burkhardt will offer Garlic and Halloween-themed Hands-On and Take & Make Home Crafts for children. In the gazebo, shoppers can enjoy free coffee and live music by George Parrott.

In addition to garlic, craft and artisan food and beverage vendors will be selling honey, poultry, baked goods, jewelry, plants, fabric crafts, soaps and lotions, eggs, and more.
